Organized Trash Collection Topic Committee

The City Council is soliciting citizens to participate in a topic committee related to organized trash collection. This is a temporary committee, not a standing committee of the City.

Several Boards and Commissions have expressed interest in exploring options for how garbage and recycling service is provided in the community. Currently, each property contracts with an independent firm to receive trash service. In an organized collection system, the city would contract with one vendor who would provide service to all residential properties in Englewood. The committee would meet approximately 3-5 times between late-March and late-May. The objective would be to evaluate the results of proposals received by various waste haulers and make recommendations to the City Council on next steps in the process.

All final actions on this topic will be actions of Council.
